cyclohunt

i was lunching with ky on friday and suggesting all sorts of ways to have fun during the week-break. ktv, we decided. i think i wanna watch a movie, i said. and oh yah, i am joining cyclohunt, i informed him. how come so desperate to get away, he asked. yeah, haha. i think the last week was really pretty bad.

so anw i spent saturday night zeeping around parts of singapore with the sister and 2 other friends from sep. some amazing race + night cycling thing which i was always interested in, but never got about joining one.

we took photos at a ghastly old school gate, and got disorientated beside the now-forlorn kallang stadium. it was much easier than i expected to cycle around singapore (on a breezy cool saturday night), and i was pretty glad i did it.

and cheer chan's concert is next sat. can't wait.

maf

i was passing by clarke quay yesterday night on my way to liang court for some research work. and realised somebody has propped up pretty lanterns along the river front.

i was feeling kinda weekend-ish and started snapping away with my cam along clarke quay. the alien-mushrooms covering the open sections between preserved warehouses were painted shades of purple and blue by some hidden lights. the area somewhat felt more alive beneath the artificial skies the alien-mushrooms created, and for a moment i was thinking maybe these alien-mushrooms are not so intrusive to the singapore-river skyline after all.

dan the project partner joked i looked like a tourist. what a lovely idea, i was thinking, to feel like a tourist right at home.

and so amidst the flying ash and loud getais, the seventh month is over. and then comes the mid-autumn. quietly, but surely. maybe this is a much better way to keep track of time than those design deadlines.

stretched days

everyday this week were stretched so long, that by the end of everyday, earlier events feel like a long time ago. like how the tuition session this morning feels like a distant memory.

had popped down to the hansgrohe showroom in the afternoon with dan for what felt like a comfortable guard duty. my cohort's work one year ago is exhibited there for the weekend, and it was decided someone should be there to jaga the work. the showroom was more than comfortable, and exudes the elegance an ostentatious brand would. judging by number of customers flowing through on a friday afternoon, one can't help but think there are alot of rich pple in s'pore.

was supposed to do research in popular and kinokuniya. and ended up spending more than i should. i think when one's life is filled with multiple deadlines to meet and vague dreams to fulfill, there will emerge a longing need for organisation and order.
